Your data will be processed by You Deserve It – Dakipáli Lda, with registration number 514622075 (hereinafter referred to as You Deserve It).

You Deserve It is the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as GDPR).

Why do we process your information?

Your personal data may be collected and processed by You Deserve It for the following purposes:

a) To fulfill legal obligations to which You Deserve It is subject, particularly communications to foreign and border services and for billing purposes.

b) For the performance of the Temporary Accommodation Contract for tourists or the Local Accommodation Management Contract entered into with You Deserve It, particularly payment transactions, management of check-ins and check-outs, guest management, charging a deposit, providing complementary services to the stay such as cleaning, transfers, and breakfast or grocery services, management of contractual obligations, or for pre-contractual diligence purposes.

c) For the purpose of mobile and email communications, with information and commercial communications, digital platforms, within the scope of You Deserve It’s marketing strategies, commercial and contractual information and communications, as well as for information requests.

d) For the purpose of protecting property or assets held by You Deserve It, as well as for statistical analysis purposes.

Failure to provide personal data for the purposes outlined in points (a) and (b) may result in You Deserve It not meeting statutory obligations and consequently, the possibility of termination of the Temporary Accommodation Contract for Tourists or the Local Accommodation Management Contract, without any right to compensation, as well as deficient services provided by You Deserve It that cannot be attributed to it.

What kind of personal data do we collect?

In the scope of its activities, You Deserve It will collect and process the personal data necessary to provide the contracted services, information requests, or pre-contractual management, namely identification, contact, bank, or payment card data.

What do we process your information for?

The processing of your personal data will be carried out based on the implementation of the temporary accommodation contract for tourists, the Local Accommodation Management Contract, and the fulfillment of legal obligations imposed on You Deserve It, particularly by legislation on matters of entry, stay, and departure of foreigners in the national territory and tax legislation (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) of the GDPR).

Additionally, the personal data collected for the purposes outlined in point (c) of the previous paragraph are based on the consent provided by you to You Deserve It for their processing (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).

For the purposes outlined in point (d) of the previous paragraph, You Deserve It will process personal data based on the legitimate interest it pursues (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

How long do we keep your information?

Without prejudice to legal, regulatory, or judicial provisions to the contrary, the personal data collected will be kept only for the minimum period necessary for the purposes that motivated their collection or subsequent processing.

Who can we share your personal data with?

You Deserve It may need to share some of your personal data with other recipients. These recipients include:

a) Organizations and/or companies affiliated with You Deserve It, provided they adhere to an equivalent policy on the protection of personal data.

b) Public entities to which You Deserve It is legally obligated to provide information, particularly Foreign and Border Services and the DGCI – Directorate-General for Taxes.

c) Subcontractors providing certain services related to your personal data under a subcontract agreement and solely for the purpose of providing technical assistance to You Deserve It. These include, in particular, site hosting providers, email marketing service providers, cleaning service companies, law firms, accounting firms, and insurance companies.

d) Competent authorities to which You Deserve It is legally obliged to disclose information during judicial proceedings or to detect technical and/or security issues, such as judicial entities or competent control authorities.

Are my data transferred to countries outside the European Union?

Your personal data, collected by You Deserve It, will not be transferred to any entity established outside the European Union.

Exceptionally and subject to certain conditions, You Deserve It may transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Union, in accordance with applicable legislation, namely for data hosting or storage, technical processing subcontracting, backup and recovery of hosted data, and service development.

You Deserve It assures that it will not transfer your personal data to countries that do not provide an adequate level of protection, in accordance with GDPR provisions.

What are my rights?

At any time, in accordance with GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, as well as its correction or deletion, limitation of the processing performed, the right to object, and the right to data portability.

If the requests made are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular due to their repetitive nature, You Deserve It may require payment of a reasonable fee taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or communication, or taking the requested measures, or refusing to comply with the request.

In the case of personal data whose processing by You Deserve It is based on consent given by you, you have the right to withdraw the consent, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out based on the consent previously given, nor the subsequent processing of the same data based on another legal basis, such as fulfilling the contract or legal obligations to which You Deserve It is subject.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission.

Security and Confidentiality

We are committed to keeping your data secure and use appropriate security measures to ensure your personal data is protected and to prevent unauthorized access. However, data transmission over the Internet is not completely secure, and we cannot provide an absolute guarantee of the security of information transmitted through our site.
